God has made all the overtures to bridge the gap between Himself and sinful man. He gave mankind a conscience to discern the things of God (Romans 2:14-15), He sent His Son to reveal God to us (John 1:18) and the Holy Spirit to convict us of the truth (John 16:7-11). But in general, mankind has rejected God despite His invisible attributes being clearly seen in His creation (Romans 1:20). Man’s theory of evolution has provided the rationalization that people are no more than advanced animals so we are free to give into our animal urges (lusts). While God is longsuffering (2 Peter 3:9), the time has come when He is in the process of giving up on those who reject Him (Romans 1:24, 26, 28). Those who have rejected God will be given up to destruction (Proverbs 29:1). Most will even miss the sign that Jesus will soon return to earth when the rapture occurs because God will allow a plausible rationalization that explains it away. "Walk while you have the light, lest darkness overtake you" (John 12:35).
