To know God is to love Him. We know Him if we have a relationship with Him through Jesus Christ. God has prepared a future for those who have received Christ that is so fantastic that it is beyond human comprehension. Jesus said, "I have come that they [those who believe Him] may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly" (John 10:10). This certainly applies in the here and now with the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23). But the abundant life also refers to the eternal life we are given the moment we are born again by receiving Jesus into our life (John 3:3). The Bible gives very little details about our eternal state other that we will spend it with God. Jesus said, "I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also" (John 14:3, see also 1 Thessalonians 4:17). This is all we need to know, that the Almighty Creator (Colossians 1:16) promised that those who come to know Him in this life would spend eternity with Him. If you have not received Christ into your life, there is no better time than right now, for "whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved" (Romans 10:13).
