If you are saved, God, in the person of the Holy Spirit, indwells those who believe that Jesus Christ paid the penalty for their sin (1 Corinthians 3:16). The presence of the Holy Spirit is a guarantee of our salvation (Ephesians 1:13-14). Thus Christ is in those who are saved as we are in Him (John 15:4). "By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit. And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son as Savior of the world.
